Around 1.4 million gas escapes are reported to the National Gas Emergency Service each year+, so it's important that you are aware of your responsibility in the event of a gas leak.

If you are a homeowner you are responsible for your internal gas supply pipe, which runs from the gas supply meter through your home to your gas appliances, including all the gas pipes within your home.

Help avoid unwanted inconvenience and expense

In the event of a gas leak you should call the National Gas Emergency Service immediately on 0800 111 999.

If the leak is inside your home, they can only spend up to 30 minutes in their attempt to fix the leak.

If they are unsuccessful, all or part of your gas supply may be isolated or turned off, leaving you with the hassle and expense of getting the leak fixed~.
