When a chemical spill from a sewage treatment works entered the River Wandle, a tributary of the River Thames in South London in September 2007, the future of this famous angling stream was thrown into doubt.

In December 2007, we, together with the Wandle Trust, announced a £500,000 plan to revive and revitalise the Wandle over the next five years.
